An elementary special education teaching opportunity is available working with K-4 students in a substantially separate classroom that addresses therapeutic needs. This contract position runs from August 25, 2025, through June 19, 2026, with daily hours from 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM in Springfield, MA.

Responsibilities include: Developing and implementing individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs Providing direct instruction and therapeutic support to K-4 students in a specialized classroom setting Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams including therapists, counselors, and general education staff Monitoring and documenting student progress and adjusting strategies accordingly Creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment to maximize student growth Desired qualifications and experience: Valid Special Education teaching certification for elementary grades Experience working with K-4 students in substantially separate settings, particularly those with therapeutic requirements Strong knowledge of special education laws, best practices, and behavior intervention strategies Excellent communication and teamwork skills Ability to adapt curriculum to meet diverse learning needs and facilitate social-emotional development Location: Springfield, Massachusetts, Elementary School District This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on young learners requiring specialized support.
