An opportunity is available for an experienced Special Education Teacher to work with elementary students in grades K-4 within a substantially separate classroom setting that supports therapeutic needs. Setting: Elementary School Duration: Contract, School Year (August 25 June 19) Hours: 8:30 AM 3:00 PM Responsibilities include: Developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with diverse learning and therapeutic needs Collaborating with related service providers, general education teachers, and parents to support student growth Maintaining detailed records of student progress and adapting instructional techniques accordingly Creating a positive classroom environment that encourages social-emotional development alongside academic achievement Managing classroom behaviors with appropriate interventions and supports aligned with therapeutic goals Qualifications and Experience: Valid Special Education certification for K-4 or equivalent licensure Experience teaching students with substantial disabilities in an elementary setting Ability to address therapeutic needs within classroom activities and daily routines Strong communication and teamwork skills to effectively coordinate with multidisciplinary staff Patience, creativity, and dedication to fostering student success Benefits of this position include structured school year scheduling and the chance to make a meaningful impact on young learners lives in a specialized educational setting.
