THE POSITION

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, Engineering District 2 is seeking candidates to fill a Clerical Assistant 2 position that will assist in moving PennDOT forward. The successful candidate will provide moderately complex clerical work for the Maintenance Division.

The Clerical Assistant 2 in this position will serve as the receptionist for the Engineering District Office 2 which includes answering and transferring incoming calls, greeting and directing visitors, monitoring security cameras, and maintaining sign-in logs for visitors and contractors. Additional duties include typing for the Maintenance and Administration Divisions and proofreading typed material to ensure the transfer of information is grammatically and typographically correct and adheres to agency policies. The Clerical Assistant 2 will also schedule the conference rooms for meetings and training sessions as requested.

Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week. Work hours are 7:30am to 3:30pm, Monday-Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Telework:

You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 3 days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Clearfield, PA. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $36,108 (before taxes). QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration);

or Graduation from high school;

or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
