Location: Northeast Illinois into Wisconsin. Home weekly with most workweeks Monday–Friday, with full weekends at home. Some loads may be up to 400 miles, but rarely further.

Compensation & Pay Features

• Earn $63-70K your first year (based on experience).
• Increase your earning potential with tenure pay: +$0.01 per mile each year (up to $0.50/mile).
• Driver Scorecard Bonus: +$0.02-$0.08/mile (average $0.03-$0.05).
• Certified RED Bonus: +$0.02/mile.
• Door to door practical miles—empty & loaded.
• Weekly guarantee: $1,200 - $1,250 (based on experience). If miles are short due to delays or breakdowns, you’ll still earn the guaranteed amount.
• Activity pay for the work you do: $20 for pickups and deliveries; $12 for trailer relays and shuttles; $20/hour detention pay (starts after 1 hour); $270 - $280/day layover pay.
• Paid Orientation at Nussbaum Headquarters — $200/day.
• Paid parking (100%).
• Paid vacation and holidays — $290/day.
• Rider policy — $10/month.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• At least 6 months of recent truck driving experience OR completion of Nussbaum’s training program.
• Valid CDL A.
• No more than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years.
• Meet all other Nussbaum requirements.

Other

• Early Exit Option: If you decide within the first 90 days that Nussbaum isn’t the right fit, you’ll receive a $1,000 bonus after hauling for 30 days and separating before 90 days.
