About the Role
Our client is looking for a highly organized and proactive Associate Director, People Operations, to help elevate their employee experience and streamline core HR processes. In this role, you’ll be a key partner to employees and managers, supporting everything from onboarding and internal mobility to compliance, reporting, and offboarding. You’ll also play a critical role in managing HR systems and ensuring smooth collaboration across departments.
What You’ll Do
- Manage and optimize HRIS platforms (UKG Ready, Deel), ensuring data accuracy and integrity
- Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with labor laws and internal policies
- Support audits and generate reports as needed
- Oversee onboarding and offboarding to ensure a seamless employee experience
- Partner with IT, Finance, Legal, and Security to coordinate new hire setups and terminations
- Manage internal changes like promotions, transfers, and compensation updates
- Help document and communicate HR policies and procedures
- Serve as a go-to resource for employee questions around policies, benefits, and systems
- Work closely with payroll to ensure timely processing of bonuses, awards, and severance
- Collaborate with international HR teams and vendors to ensure global consistency and compliance
- Manage immigration cases in partnership with outside counsel
What We’re Looking For
- 6–8 years of experience in People Operations
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local labor laws
- High integrity and discretion when handling confidential information
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, startup-like environment
- Detail-oriented with strong data management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Able to juggle multiple priorities and work independently or as part of a team
- Enjoys being in-office and working closely with teams and stakeholders
- Experience in a company with 500+ global employees
- Deep knowledge of UKG Ready and how to leverage it for operations, reporting, and compliance
