The Cat Scan Technologist performs computer tomography procedures and related techniques, producing sectional and three-dimensional images for interpretation, and assists with interventional and therapeutic procedures. Responsibilities
Performs complex CT procedures and utilizes professional judgment when obtaining patient clinical history. Prepares and reviews the contrast questionnaire with patients and their families. Administers contrast media as prescribed and verifies the appropriateness of CT exam prescriptions. Responsible for insurance verification and obtaining outside studies for comparison. Evaluates radiographs using PACS to ensure diagnostic value. Preps patients for scanning, ensuring proper patient information is gathered. Monitors patients during procedures for adverse reactions. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
At least 2 years of CT experience (5 years preferred). Experience with GE Equipment, Epic EMR, and Fuji PACS. ARRT license and CT certification required. NJ DEP Diagnostic Radiography License required. American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification within three months of hire date. Why ARMStaffing?
