Job Title:
Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN - ED) Location:
Edison, NJ 08818 Schedule:
3 x 12-hour shifts/week (rotating weekends and holidays as needed) Contract Duration:
13 Weeks Hours:
36 hours/week Pay Rate:
$55 - $58/hour Key Responsibilities: Deliver compassionate, evidence-based emergency care to patients of all ages. Perform rapid triage and assessment of patients presenting with physical or behavioral health emergencies. Respond to time-sensitive conditions such as stroke, sepsis, and STEMI using established protocols. Float between Adult ED, Pediatric ED, and IMC units based on operational needs. Maintain accurate documentation and participate in interdisciplinary care planning. Required Qualifications: Minimum 2 years of recent ED nursing experience Strong background in managing critical cases, including: Stroke care (up to 20 stroke cases per shift) STEMI and sepsis interventions
Experience in a high-volume ED setting (200+ patients/day) Ability to multitask, remain calm under pressure, and adapt to rapidly changing situations Licensure & Certifications (Required): Active New Jersey RN License or valid multi-state compact license BLS (AHA) ACLS PALS NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Telemetry certification 4 CEU Stroke Education Hours
