Koniag Information Technology Services (KITS), a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a ServiceNow Administrator to support our Army customer in Huntsville, Alabama. This position is remote and does not require on-site presence in Huntsville, Alabama.

The ServiceNow Administrator will be responsible for managing the ServiceNow platform and ensuring it effectively supports business processes. This role will focus on managing and optimizing the ServiceNow platform to meet the Army Materiel Command's (AMC) business requirements. The ideal candidate will have experience gathering requirements, developing reports and dashboards, and performing system administration tasks within the ServiceNow environment.
Principal responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Gather and document business requirements from stakeholders across the organization Translate business requirements into technical specifications for implementation Work collaboratively with developers to implement ServiceNow solutions Design, develop, and maintain comprehensive ServiceNow reports and dashboards Create custom reports to meet specific business intelligence needs Develop and maintain executive dashboards for performance monitoring Analyze platform data to identify trends, patterns, and insights Provide data-driven recommendations to improve business processes Support continuous improvement initiatives with analytical insights Manage user access and permissions within the ServiceNow platform Perform basic system administration tasks including: User management and role configuration Form and workflow configuration Catalog item creation and maintenance Knowledge base management Notification setup and management Facilitate user acceptance testing (UAT) for new implementations Create test plans and coordinate testing activities with end users Document test results and manage issue resolution Provide training and support to end users on ServiceNow functionality Troubleshoot and resolve platform issues and user requests Stay current with ServiceNow releases and new features Recommend platform enhancements based on business needs Maintain system documentation and standard operating procedures Support change management processes for ServiceNow implementations Education and Experience:
Required:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field 2+ years of experience administering ServiceNow or similar ITSM platforms Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into technical specifications Background in report and dashboard development Knowledge of user access management and system administration Required Skills and Competencies:
Hands-on experience with ServiceNow administration and configuration Proficiency in creating and maintaining ServiceNow reports and dashboards Experience with ServiceNow modules (ITSM, ITBM, etc.) Knowledge of business process analysis and improvement Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions Experience managing user access and permissions Strong data analysis skills to identify trends and insights Background in facilitating user acceptance testing Understanding of ITIL processes and best practices Experience documenting business and technical requirements Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders Experience providing user training and support Knowledge of change management principles Strong attention to detail and quality Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines Basic understanding of database concepts Ability to obtain and maintain required security clearances Desired Skills and Competencies:
ServiceNow certifications (Certified System Administrator, etc.) ITIL certification Experience working in Army or DoD environments Knowledge of federal IT security requirements Experience with ServiceNow scripting (JavaScript) Background in workflow design and implementation Experience with integration between ServiceNow and other systems Knowledge of IT asset management processes Experience with project portfolio management in ServiceNow Background in service catalog design and management Understanding of knowledge management principles Experience with performance analytics Knowledge of ServiceNow platform governance Background in process automation Experience with Agile development methodologies Familiarity with cloud computing concepts Understanding of IT service management metrics and KPIs Experience supporting enterprise-level implementations
