Job Description:
The Risk and Claims Specialist will manage organizational claims and risk programs, focusing on Workers’ Compensation and General Liability. This role plays a key part in reducing financial losses and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage all aspects of Workers’ Compensation and General Liability claims programs. Investigate incidents, analyze trends, and recommend strategies to minimize future losses. Serve as the main point of contact for claims-related matters across the organization. Collaborate with third-party administrators, defense counsel, and internal stakeholders on claim resolutions. Oversee legal and compliance processes, including OSHA reporting and unemployment law. Prepare and maintain accurate reports and documentation. Qualifications:
3–5 years of experience in claims management, including employee and member-related incidents. Knowledge of EEOC, Department of Human Rights, and unemployment law processes. Education: Paralegal Certificate or legal education preferred. Strong communication, investigation, and analytical skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
