Physical Therapist – LTC/SNF - Travel Position Location: Kinston, NC Job Type: Travel Contract Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 5x8s Days Pay: $2,035/week

Job Description: We are seeking a compassionate Physical Therapist to join a skilled nursing and long-term care facility in Kinston, NC, on a travel contract. The Physical Therapist will evaluate residents, create individualized treatment plans, and deliver therapy services designed to improve mobility, restore function, and enhance independence. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, patient-centered, and experienced in geriatric rehabilitation.

Key Responsibilities: Perform comprehensive evaluations to assess functional abilities, mobility, and therapy needs. Develop and implement personalized treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and care teams. Provide therapeutic interventions including strengthening, balance, gait training, and mobility exercises. Educate residents, families, and caregivers on therapy goals, safety techniques, and use of assistive equipment. Document patient evaluations, progress, and treatment outcomes accurately in compliance with facility and regulatory standards. Collaborate with interdisciplinary staff to ensure coordinated and effective care. Promote resident safety, independence, and quality of life through evidence-based therapy practices.

Qualifications: Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or Master’s in Physical Therapy from an accredited program. Current and valid Physical Therapist license in North Carolina (or compact license). Minimum of 1 year of recent PT experience, preferably in long-term care or skilled nursing facilities. Current certification in Basic Life Support. COVID-19 vaccine and recent tuberculosis test. Strong communication, clinical, and organizational skills. Compassionate approach with experience supporting geriatric patients.
