POSITION OVERVIEW: BACK OF HOUSE (BOH) TEAM MEMBER As a BOH Team Member, you’ll be responsible for preparing and assembling menu items, maintaining kitchen cleanliness and food safety standards, and supporting daily prep and closing routines. While this role is primarily behind the scenes, you may occasionally assist the Front of House team—restocking, packing large orders, or stepping in during busy times. In those moments, you’ll bring the same care and professionalism to light guest interaction, even though it’s not a core expectation of the role. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Prepare and assemble bagels, sandwiches, and other hot food items according to recipes

Perform daily prep, including slicing vegetables, portioning meats, and making housemade spreads and salads

Maintain clean and organized prep, sandwich, and grill stations throughout the shift

Support kitchen flow during peak service by working quickly, efficiently, and with attention to detail

Follow proper food safety and sanitation procedures at all times

Stock, label, and rotate inventory following FIFO standards

Assist with kitchen setup each morning and complete closing tasks as assigned

Occasionally assist FOH with restocking, cleaning, or large order fulfillment

Interact with guests only as needed when supporting FOH, always maintaining professionalism and a team-focused attitude

QUALIFICATIONS

Previous experience in a kitchen, deli, café, or food service environment preferred

Ability to follow prep lists, recipes, and direction from leadership

Able to lift 50 lbs and stay on your feet for long periods

Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented with a strong work ethic

Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with minimal guest-facing tasks

Willingness to step in and support the broader team as needed
