Job Description
The Human Resources Generalist supports day-to-day HR operations and provides expertise in recruitment, employee relations, benefit administration, job description, evaluation process along with HR compliance and processes. This position serves as a key contract for employees and managers fostering a positive workplace culture while ensuring compliance with federal, state and local employment laws.
Key Duties:
Recruitment & Onboarding
- Coordinate full-cycle recruitment including posting jobs, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and conducting reference/background checks.
- Support hiring managers in developing job descriptions and interview guide
- Facilitate new hire onboarding and new hire orientation. Introduce new employees to office policies, employee handbook, and HRIS system.
HR Administration
- Maintain HRIS (Human Resource Information System) and ensure data accuracy. Maintain employee records and documents primarily in the HRIS system.
- Assist with special HR projects, audits, and compliance-related reports (Ex: EEO) as assigned.
- Act as a first point of contact for employee inquiries, concerns or policy questions.
- Provide guidance to managers and employees regarding employment policies and procedures
- Assist managers with job descriptions and ensure that each employee has a signed job description.
- Assist with benefit administration and payroll processes as needed.
*Two - five years of HR experience.
* Knowledge of HR laws and regulations (FMLA, FLSA, EEO, HIPAA, ACA)
*Experience with HRIS platforms (preferably Isolved)
*Strong analytical, reporting skills.
*Excellent attention to detail and confidentiality handling sensitive employee data.
*Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
Position based on-site, with limited travel requirements (1-2 times per year).
