SCOPE/SUMMARY: To provide technical support to networked installation of servers, desktops, and laptops running Microsoft operating systems. This will also include technical support of the telecom systems and virtualization products being used in production.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Knowledge of backup schemas, prior use of Virtualization software in a production environment. Familiar with Microsoft Server Environments, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, file permissions, share folders, familiar with Windows XP through Windows 7, desktop troubleshooting, email setup, hardware troubleshooting, virus removal, wireless systems configuration, familiarity with antivirus programs.
- This position will provide in-house and onsite technical hardware and software support.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Associate degree or higher (or 2+ years completed at a 4 year college/university). 2 + years of IT engineering experience, at least 1 year working in an IT support environment. Midlevel networking skills inclusive of switch, firewall and router configurations. Experience is required with Windows Server 2008, Terminal Server, Active Directory, Exchange, Windows XP, Windows 7, PC Hardware, Printer Hardware, MS Office 2010 and Adobe products. Working knowledge of TCP/IP, WAN, LAN, Wireless and Fiber networks is required. Technical certifications like MCP, MCSA, MCDST, MOS A+, and Network+ are helpful but not required. VOIP and Cat-5 installation experience is a plus. Virtualization Experience is also a big plus. Crystal and SQL Experience is a huge plus but not required. Hardware and Software skills to troubleshoot laptops, desktops, routers, printers and other technical equipment. Self-Motivated with a desire and drive to work hard and grow yourself both personally and technically. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and work outdoors in a warehouse/industrial environment. Ability to communicate effectively, both written and orally, in a professional manner. Ability to multi-task, be a strong team player, and have strong organizational skills and time management skills. Must possess excellent problem solving skills and an ability to find, troubleshoot, and resolve issues using whatever inside and outside resources (i.e. research) are required. Reliable transportation, and be available to work standard business hours- along with availability for after hour emergencies.
