Responsibilities include: Delivering specialized instruction tailored to the unique needs of a small caseload consisting of six students. Developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) that align with state guidelines and meet each students academic and social development goals. Collaborating with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure comprehensive support for each student. Monitoring student progress and adjusting teaching strategies to facilitate success. Maintaining detailed records and preparing reports as required by the school and district policies. Qualifications: Valid Kansas Special Education teaching certification required (provisional or emergency certificates will not be accepted). Experience teaching 5th and 6th grade students, preferably in a life skills or special education setting. Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
