Overview
Administrative Assistant - Part time (Temporary) at Western Sugar Cooperative. Location: Fort Morgan, CO. This position is part time with 29 hours per week through March of 2026. The Administrative Assistant provides professional administrative support at the Scottsbluff facility, serves as the first point of contact for visitors and callers, and supports routine clerical and filing tasks. The incumbent will report directly to the HR Manager and must maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.

Essential Functions
- Responsible for supporting and adhering to the Company's core values, mission, and codes of conduct.
- Greet and assist visitors, vendors, and employees in a courteous and professional manner.
- Answer, screen, and route incoming phone calls accurately.
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail, deliveries, and front office correspondence.
- Provide clerical and file management support to the factory, including:
- Filing and organizing personnel and operational documents.
- Copying, scanning, and preparing documents.
- Scheduling support and calendar coordination.
- Assistance with onboarding and orientation logistics.
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality and discretion at all times.
- Perform other administrative duties as assigned by the HR Manager.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 2-3 years of administrative or receptionist experience preferred; strong interpersonal skills and basic office proficiency will be considered.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Ability to operate standard office equipment (copier, scanner, fax).
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Exceptional communication skills - verbal and written.
- Friendly, professional demeanor with a customer service focus.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
Working relationship
- This position reports to the Human Resources Manager.
Employment requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age. Must have proficiency at reading, writing, and speaking English.
Leadership skills
- Must be able to communicate in a professional and calm manner while reinforcing correct procedures and standards. Reliability and punctual attendance are essential.
