Overview

General Job Summary: Under the direction of the Development Director, the Administrative Assistant is responsible for data management, special event fundraising, in-kind organizational support, and providing support for Senior Leadership Team.

Responsibilities

  • Become proficient in Donor Management Software as it relates to Thank You Letters and Giving Statements.
  • Manage data collection processes through Blackbaud and other on-line giving programs.
  • Become proficient in data-driven reports.
  • Support special event fundraising and volunteer awareness programs with Development team (Heart & Homes Luncheon, Healing Arts Camp, Bright Christmas Weekend, etc.).
  • Serve as point of contact for in-kind fundraisers and donations (Water, Hygiene, Christmas Gifts for MCH teens, etc.).
  • Provides support for CEO’s appointment schedule (scheduling meetings, conferences, teleconferences and travel).
  • Works directly with and supports the other members of the Senior Leadership Team.
  • Protects operations by keeping information confidential.

Qualifications

Knowledge & Experience

  • Must be twenty-one (21) years of age
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college
  • Administrative Skills

Skills/Working Conditions:

  • Must maintain valid Driver’s License and an acceptable driving record
  • Must be insurable by Methodist Children’s Homes insurance carrier
  • Must be able to work flexible schedule and shifts
  • Must successfully complete all phases of pre-service and on-going training, including but not limited to, physical restraint training, First Aid, CPR, Universal Precautions, and medication administration.

Physical Requirements

  • Must provide a negative drug screen result prior to employment.
  • Must pass a pre-employment physical and on-going physical assessments as required
  • Have the ability to demonstrate organizational, management, and leadership skills.
  • Have the ability to generate multiple solutions to meet the changing needs of clients, staff, and communities
  • Have the ability to communicate professionally, in both verbal and written formats, with consumers, including, but not limited to parents, supervisees, colleagues, and community service providers.
  • Have the ability to participate in recreational activities with clients, including, but not limited arts, athletics, and outdoor activities.
  • Regular attendance at primary worksite and agency related events.
