This is a contract, on-site role located in Oakland, CA for an Armed Security Guard $30/hr.

Responsibilities

• The Armed Security Guard will be responsible for securing specific access areas, monitoring guests and their belongings, enforcing venue rules, and patrolling facilities and buildings.
• Additional duties include performing crowd and traffic control, locking and unlocking entrances and exits, monitoring parking areas, reporting suspicious behavior, and coordinating with on-site emergency services.
• The guard will also be responsible for guiding guests, securing valuables, and answering company phones.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in security roles, specifically in crowd control, access control, and patrolling
• Ability to enforce safety regulations, perform foot patrols, and direct traffic
• Excellent observation skills and ability to report suspicious behavior effectively
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for guiding guests and coordinating with emergency services
• Physical fitness and the ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Previous experience in an armed security role is highly desirable
• Certification or licensing in security or law enforcement is preferred
• Ability to work independently and handle high-pressure situations
