Overview

For Industrial Electricians to support modifications in a nuclear power plant. This is a project-based opportunity with 40-50 hours per week on day shift (10 hours per day) at a rate of $45 per hour. Permanent US Resident or US Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Experience in new construction and maintenance modifications
• Installation/fabrication of conduit and supports
• Installation of copper and fiber cables
• Cable terminations and modifications
• Installation of power and control panels/switchgear
• Ability to use a multimeter (Live-Dead-Live)
• Raychem splicing of low voltage
• Electrical safe work practices
• Clearance order verifications
• Temporary power installation
• Experience in nuclear power as JM electrician
• Must be able to read, write, speak and take tests in English without an interpreter or accommodations per US nuclear requirement

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years experience working in Nuclear Power Plants as an industrial Journeyman Electrician
• NCCER Industrial Electrician certification or equivalent
• Current Nuclear Security Clearance (Red Badge) within the last 364 days
• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent; must be at least 18 years of age
• Must be able to pass an on-site industrial electrician proficiency test

Work Environment

The essential functions require physical activities such as standing, walking, climbing, lifting, carrying, twisting, kneeling, stooping, bending and crouching. Handling equipment weighing 1 to 100 lbs. Possible exposure to adverse environmental conditions including confined spaces, high temperatures, and elevated heights. Physical demands are medium to heavy. Vision requirements include close and distance vision, depth perception and focus adjustment. Personal protective equipment is required in this industrial environment.
