Job Description: Electrician- Outage Support

Feedwater Heater Project

Duration: 4 weeks - Start October 8, 2025

Location: Surry Nuclear, Surry, VA

Citizenship: Permanent US or US Citizenship required.

We are seeking an Industrial Electrician to support modifications in a nuclear power plant. This role is with WECTEC Staffing Services, a subsidiary of Westinghouse Electric Company LLC.

Responsibilities

• Journeyman Electrician
  • Experience in new construction and maintenance modifications
  • Installation/fabrication of conduit and supports
  • Installation of copper and fiber cables
  • Cable terminations and modifications
  • Installation of power and control panels/switch gear
  • Ability to use a multimeter (Live-Dead-Live)
  • Raychem splicing of low voltage
  • Electrical safe work practices
  • Clearance order verifications
  • Temporary power installation
  • Experience in nuclear power as JM electrician
  • Ability to read, write, speak and test in English without interpreter or accommodations per US nuclear requirement

Project Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years experience working in Nuclear Power Plants as an industrial Journeyman Electrician
• Must have an NCCER Industrial Electrician certification or equivalent experience
• Must have had current Nuclear Security Clearance (Red Badge) within the last 364 days
• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent; must be at least 18 years old
• Must be able to pass an on-site industrial electrician proficiency test

Work Environment

The essential functions require standing, walking, climbing, lifting, carrying, twisting, kneeling, stooping, bending and crouching. Ability to handle equipment weighing 1 to 100 lbs. Work may occur in confined spaces, high temperature areas, and at elevated heights. Physical demands are medium to heavy. PPE must be worn as required in an industrial environment.
