Position Title: Student Assistant Specialist Graphic Designer, CNYCA

Location: New York City

Position Type: Student

Department: Center for New York City Affairs (CNYCA)

Responsibilities

  • Design reports, mailings, and website content
  • Enhance and execute social media strategy
  • Improve website design, including archiving historical website data, publications and reports
  • Maintain training and brand guide for future designers
  • Other duties as assigned

Rate: $21/hr

Workmode: Hybrid – Employees hired for this position primarily work remotely with the occasional on-campus presence required with advanced notice. Employees in this role will also be expected to use their best judgment to be on campus when necessary in order to best fulfill the responsibilities of their job descriptions.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Ability to manage several projects simultaneously and follow-through on projects
  • Ability to design multiple projects in a short timeframe
  • Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
  • Interest and experience in Data Visualization / Designing (Graphs, charts, tables)
  • Proficiency in Adobe Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)
  • Experience and proficiency in Squarespace and Mailchimp
  • Basic knowledge of web design practices
  • Experience managing professional social media accounts
  • Interest and experience in public policy
