The HR Associate contributes to a positive employee experience by assisting with onboarding, terminations, answering and escalating HR concerns, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating with Acrisure Partners to provide best-in-class service.

Job Summary

The HR Associate is an exciting opportunity in Acrisure’s growing HR Operations department to join our Human Resources Service Center and make an impact on the employee experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provides concierge service in daily communications with employees and leadership regarding transactional HR needs.
  • Administers HR tasks to meet the needs of each Agency Partner, including but not limited to:
  • Initiating and supporting electronic onboarding of new hires
  • Processing and tracking background checks and drug screens
  • Processing changes within our HCM systems related to all areas of employment (core records, benefits, payroll)
  • Processing changes within information systems related to Acrisure Partners or business units and their data needs
  • Populating, distributing, and collecting employment agreement documents
  • Assisting partners and/or employees with HR self-service portals
  • Processing employment verifications with a third-party vendor
  • Reviews and interprets transactional data to resolve issues and propose process improvements while maintaining sensitivity and respect
  • Audits and validates employee data
  • Supports Legal and HR Advisors with basic record requests
  • Supports administrative or data entry needs for the HR organization
  • Recommends process improvements and system enhancements based on partner needs
  • Assists with projects and priorities within the HR team
  • Delivers exemplary customer service in all interactions
  • Assists with training or knowledge transfer as needed
  • Stays informed of and adheres to state and federal HR laws and regulations

Education and Experience

  • Associate degree or recognized equivalent (required)
  • 2+ years of HR experience preferred; Call Center experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR or related discipline may be substituted for experience

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, MS 365 Teams, and HRIS technology
  • Multi-state experience is a plus; Workday experience is a plus
  • Organized and detail-oriented
  • Collaborative and team-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
  • Effective written and verbal communication; strong time management and prioritization

Grand Rapids, MI; typical salary range $60,000.00–$70,000.00.
