About the Role
The Human Resources Generalist provides comprehensive HR support and coordinates the day-to-day functions of the HR Department. This role requires a strong foundation in HR principles and payroll expertise. The Generalist is responsible for administering payroll, benefits, and compliance, while serving as a key point of contact across departments. A successful candidate will demonstrate a high level of accuracy, confidentiality, and professional judgment in managing sensitive employee information.

Atlanta, GA (Midtown)
Full-time, in-office position (40+ hours/week)
What You'll Do
Payroll & Audits
Own bi-weekly payroll end-to-end with accuracy and timeliness.
Reconcile payroll, prepare reports, and lead annual payroll/benefits audits.
Manage deductions, absences, bonuses, and leave balances; resolve issues fast.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations.
HR Ops & Compliance
Run onboarding from offer to day one (Paylocity setup, handbook acknowledgements, benefits enrollment, etc).
Maintain meticulous, confidential records (HRIS, cloud, and hard copy).
Administer garnishments, unemployment claims, workers’ comp, and leaves of absence.
Monitor and apply employment laws and best practices across multiple states.
Benefits & Employee Support
Administer health, dental, vision, retirement, and ancillary programs.
Reconcile/approve invoices and lead open enrollment.
Answer benefits questions and process changes with care and clarity.
Employee Relations
Support investigations and conflict resolution.
Guide managers on progressive discipline; draft documentation for review.
Systems, Reporting & Improvement
Keep HRIS (Paylocity) clean, integrated, and reliable.
Automate and streamline workflows and templates.
Build payroll and labor cost reporting that informs smart decisions.
What You'll Bring
Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field.
5+ years in HR administration with hands-on payroll expertise (Paylocity preferred).
Working knowledge of payroll/benefits filings and multi-state employment laws.
Discretion and professionalism handling sensitive information.
Strong written/verbal communication; confident partnering with managers.
Proven time management and follow-through; advanced Microsoft Office/Excel.
SHRM/HRCI certification a plus.
