We are hiring Assistant Teachers for our Before and After School Program for the 2025-2026 school year at Pittsburgh Minadeo in Pittsburgh, PA.
JOB STATUS: Part-time, non-exempt PAY: $13.50 $15.00 per hour (dependent on experience)
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
Ensuring Compliance: Support both staff and program operations in aligning with state regulations, Healthy Kids policies, and the standards of our host school. Making It Fun: Lead dynamic, hands-on activities using the Healthy Kids Curriculum. This includes fitness, STEAM, academics, creative arts, and more. And yes, you'll also help kids conquer their homework youre the homework MVP! Running the Show: Handle core administrative duties like tracking attendance, managing registration, and ensuring there are enough staff members to keep things flowing. Staying Connected: Keep parents and guardians informed using the Playground App for clear, ongoing communication. Being a Team Player: Maintain consistent communication with your supervisor, keeping them informed of daily happenings and addressing any concerns quickly. Working in sync ensures top-quality care, a great work environment, and proactive problem-solving.
REQUIREMENTS BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
You're at least 18 years old. You have 2+ years of experience working with children under age 13. You're medically cleared to perform all job functions and free of communicable illnesses like TB You bring positive energy, a friendly attitude, and strong interpersonal skills. Youre dependable, professional, and punctual. You're physically up for the challenge able to lift up to 50 lbs., bend, move, and keep up with active kids.
