Job Title: Front Office Lead
Job Description
The medical assistant will deliver high-quality team-based patient care under the direct supervision of a clinician, encompassing both clinical and administrative functions to enhance health and wellness in a safe and welcoming environment. The role involves supporting clinicians and care management teams in assessing, maintaining chronic disease management, examining, and treating the patient population. The medical assistant is responsible for performing all laboratory testing procedures and phlebotomy, including venipuncture, finger sticks, and heel sticks.
Responsibilities
Perform quality team-based patient care under clinician supervision.
Support clinicians and care management teams in assessing and managing chronic diseases.
Conduct laboratory testing procedures and phlebotomy, including venipuncture, finger sticks, and heel sticks.
Ensure accurate data entry and maintain medical records.
Provide exceptional customer service and administrative support.
Take manual vitals and communicate effectively with patients, employees, and the public.
Assess emergencies and respond appropriately.
Float between clinic locations as required to meet patient queue demands.
Essential Skills
High school diploma required.
Minimum 2 years' experience in a clinic/back office healthcare setting.
MA diploma or Certified MA (CMA) or 3 years' MA experience.
Phlebotomy experience required.
Ability to take vitals, with manual vitals preferred.
Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
Active driver's license required.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Bilingual (English-Spanish) preferred.
Flexibility to adapt to changing work environments.
Experience with TriMed EMR preferred.
Knowledge of laboratory quality control requirements.
Understanding of basic medical terminology.
Familiarity with universal precaution procedures in medical safety practices.
Work Environment
This position is 100% onsite in a clinic located in West Kendall/Miami. The work schedule is Monday to Friday from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm, and every other Saturday from 7:30 am to 11:30 am. The role offers permanent employment with opportunities for travel compensation and training on manual vitals. Employees will receive $0.67/mile when traveling between clinics, and a $20 gas card if required to float outside of core locations.

The pay range for this position is $36931.44 - $52157.56/yr.
