Job Duties

  • Program and/or alter machine control logic programs for CNC machines, robots, and P.C. controlled machines as required by the plant electrical engineer or electrical department supervisor.
  • Troubleshoot PLC systems, recover and repair robots.
  • Lay out, assemble, install, and test electrical fixtures, apparatus, control equipment, and wiring.
  • Plan proposed installations from blueprints, sketches, or specifications.
  • Secure panel boards, switch boxes, pull boxes, and other equipment to structures.
  • Measure, cut, bend, assemble, and install conduit using appropriate tools.
  • Install and connect equipment to wiring systems, test circuits, and ensure proper operation.
  • Maintain electrical equipment in good repair and operating condition.
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures.
  • Complete work orders accurately and timely in E-maintain system.
  • Perform other incidental duties as needed.

Physical Requirements

  • Occasionally sit, crawl, reach, twist, push, pull, grip, pinch, crouch/squat, bend, stand, and climb stairs/ladders.
  • Frequently stand and walk.
  • Lift and carry under 25 lbs, 25-49 lbs, and over 50 lbs as specified.
  • Perform repetitive motions of hand/wrist, forearm/elbow, and shoulder activities.

Desired Skills & Expertise

  • Valid Journeyperson card or 8 years of trade-related experience with proper documentation.
  • Experience with equipment installation, hydraulics, and industrial power distribution.
  • Furnace thermal couple calibration, inspection, and repair.
  • Knowledge of electrical systems (480V, 110V, 220V, 3-phase), schematic reading.
  • Preventative maintenance, E-maintenance, Rockwell Logix, Fanuc robotics, and CNC experience.
  • Strong organization and communication skills.
