Position Overview
The HR Generalist will be the primary HR point of contact for a U.S.-based office of around 30 employees. This individual will handle day-to-day HR operations, recruitment, onboarding, benefits, and compliance, while serving as a partner to global HR leadership. The role is ideal for someone ready to step into a position with ownership and growth potential in a dynamic nonprofit environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the main HR contact for U.S. staff, ensuring compliance with employment regulations.
- Manage recruitment, onboarding, and HR administration for U.S. roles.
- Support benefits coordination, HRIS updates, and employee data accuracy.
- Partner with leadership on policies, training, and engagement initiatives.
- Contribute to employee programs, recognition efforts, and DEIB activities.
- Provide HR reporting, support offboarding, and help maintain a positive workplace culture.
Qualifications
- 2–3 years of HR experience with broad exposure to core HR functions.
- Knowledge of U.S. labor laws and compliance requirements.
- Strong attention to detail, especially around payroll/compensation support.
- Comfortable working independently and making decisions.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; additional experience considered in lieu of degree.
- HRIS and Google Workspace experience strongly preferred.
