Role Summary
The Assistant supports all inbound receiving and outbound distribution functions at the warehouse. They ensure deliveries are checked in accurately, entered into
BRData DSD , scanned invoices into
cloud , and staged for store distribution. This role focuses on the
hands-on execution
of receiving, allocation, and transfer prep, while maintaining compliance with company policies and food-safety standards.
Key Responsibilities A. Receiving Support Assist with vendor check-in and dock control. Unload trucks safely; verify quantities, packaging, and temperature compliance. Scan products with
Zebra handhelds
to update BRData receipts. Report shortages, damages, and variances immediately to the Receiving Manager. B. BRData & Documentation Enter invoice line items and confirm costs against system pricing. Process catch-weight entries and verify random-weight accuracy. Maintain clear and complete records for audits and vendor disputes. C. Store Allocation & Transfers Break down vendor pallets into store-specific quantities. Label and stage outbound product by store and department. Prepare and review
store transfer paperwork Verify staging accuracy before loading trucks. D. Communication & Teamwork Coordinate with drivers, store managers, and warehouse staff to ensure smooth distribution. Notify Coordinator of repeated vendor or product issues. Support cycle counts and inventory spot-checks tied to receiving.
Qualifications Experience in warehouse or grocery receiving preferred (entry-level candidates trained). Basic knowledge of BRData, handheld scanning, and warehouse workflow. Detail-oriented; comfortable with numbers, weights, and paperwork. Able to lift 50 lbs and work in cooler/freezer environments. Team player with good communication skills.
