Swing Shift
3:00pm - 11:30pm with OVERTIME and some WEEKEND MUST PASS BACKGROUND AND POSSESS ACTIVE DL/ID NOT EXPIRED This position involves receiving, unloading, inspecting, and storing incoming shipments, while also verifying contents against purchase orders, maintaining accurate inventory records, operating equipment like forklifts, and communicating with suppliers and departments to ensure materials are processed efficiently and accurately. Key skills include physical stamina, attention to detail, organizational skills, and basic computer proficiency. Key Responsibilities
Receive & Unload:
Unload incoming freight and packages from delivery trucks, signing for shipments.
Inspect & Verify:
Inspect items for damage, count the quantity, and verify contents against packing slips and purchase orders.
Record & Report:
Record receiving data in company databases or inventory systems, and report any discrepancies or damages to supervisors or suppliers.
Organize & Store:
Sort and label received items, then place them in their designated locations, such as racks, shelves, or bins.
Operate Equipment:
Operate equipment such as hand trucks, forklifts, and pallet jacks to move materials within the warehouse.
Inventory Management:
Assist with inventory counts and audits to maintain accurate stock levels and resolve discrepancies.
Communication:
Communicate with drivers, suppliers, and internal departments to monitor shipment status and resolve issues.
Maintain Cleanliness:
Keep the receiving area and warehouse organized and clean, following safety protocols.
