PCG is hiring a Senior Consultant to lead technical oversight on a public sector state government modernization project while continuing to support building the team and portfolio of projects in our Technology Consulting Practice Area. Responsibilities
The Senior Consultant will serve as the primary point of contact for providing expert advice, assistance, and guidance to support a major ERP Migration project and ensure all project requirements are met.
Lead the work with the support of the project team to provide Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) services to the ERP migration project.
Direct responsibility for the system and stage gate level assessment deliverables and work products produced along with the team.
Ensure assessments and deliverables are high-quality and comprehensive, providing meaningful insights into the ERP Migration project in all dimensions.
The consultant must be in SC, GA, or NC.
Qualifications
Broad experience in selected industries (e.g., healthcare, finance, education) and technical competencies (e.g., technical writing, cloud/SaaS services, ERP software products) with management approaches (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
Project Delivery – solve complex client problems from pursuit through execution using a consultative mindset; anticipate issues; surface root causes; assimilate research and data; lead or participate in analysis, deliverable creation, and project performance reporting; manage project teams; apply financial acumen to improve project success.
Business Development – support proposal responses, understand competitors, align products/services with market strategy, review RFPs, and influence bid decisions.
Required qualifications include: consultant location (SC, GA, or NC); experience with large-scale cloud-based ERP implementation or technical project management of such systems (preferably SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA RISE Migration); IV&V or QA experience on HR/Financial system implementations; 5+ years of relevant experience in State governments or related programs; excellent writing and presentation skills; ability to travel 25% regionally and, occasionally, across the country.
Also serves as a Subject Matter Expert on S/4HANA RISE migration.
Preferred Technical Skills
5+ years of experience in SAP modules (S/4HANA, ECC, BW, FICO, MM, SD) and their integration.
SAP Architecture: SAP architecture frameworks, system landscapes, data modeling.
Cloud Solutions: Experience with SAP cloud solutions and migration strategies.
Integration: SAP integration tools and techniques (APIs, SAP PI/PO, CPI); cloud connectors.
Databases: SAP HANA and SQL knowledge.
Programming: ABAP, Fiori, Java, or related languages for custom development.
This position is hybrid with travel/onsite requirements. To be successful in a remote work role at PCG, you must: include availability during set working hours, a safe/private environment, and the ability to focus on PCG duties. Some travel to the office or elsewhere may be required for team meetings, client meetings, etc. We are accepting applications on an ongoing basis until filled. Compensation for roles at Public Consulting Group varies depending on a wide array of factors including location, role, skill set, and experience.
