If you are looking for a career that offers stability, growth, and camaraderie, apply today! **About the Maricopa County Sherriff's Office*** Within six (6) months of employment or assignment must train, functionally test and affirm the proficiency of terminal operations to assure compliance with Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) CJIS policy and regulations, and successfully retest every two (2) years. * In order to be considered for employment with the Maricopa County Sheriffs Office, successful candidates must not have a revoked or suspended drivers license.* Training that may be provided on-the-job: FEMA NIMS IS100 and 700; Safety; Payroll; PREA. * **Prior to hiring, the Sheriff's Office requires that all candidates pass a background review.** * Experience in a law enforcement or detention setting* Advanced knowledge of legal processes or court records.* High volume of work* Handling multiple or complicated tasks, frequently changing tasks* Need for accuracy and detailed work* Decision making, concentration/vigilance * Teamwork * Conditions frequently include interruptions, time pressures, unscheduled tasks, isolation, working in close physical proximity with others, public contact* Frequent overtime * Conditions may rarely include varying shifts, emergencies, traumatic subject matter.* Modern office procedures, data processing applications, and record keeping principals.* Basic mathematical skills and cash handling.* Basic to intermediate level grammar, spelling and punctuation.* Keyboarding, using a computer and related software applications. * Using standard office equipment including printer, copier, scanner, fax machine, and adding machine.* Applying attention to detail and accuracy in performance of job duties.* Learn, interpret, and explain statutes, rules, and policies. * Prioritize work and perform multiple tasks.* Maintain confidentiality, exercise judgment and accuracy in supplying information.* Receive and follow work directions and procedures.* Communicate effectively and apply interpersonal skills when interacting with coworkers, supervisors, and the public.* Convey verbal and written information as appropriate for the needs of the audience.* Establish and maintain successful professional relationships. * Provide exemplary customer service.* Only the most qualified candidates will be considered* Consideration will only be given to candidates who submit online applications* Candidates will be contacted primarily through email and their Workday online application profile* Must pass a pre-employment background and/or fingerprint investigation as required by statute or policy, including drug and alcohol testing requirements for positions designated as safety-sensitivein 2024.
