Responsibilities Assist surgeons during operations ensuring sterile environment and equipment readiness.

Prepare and maintain surgical instruments and equipment for procedures.

Monitor and maintain sterile field to prevent contamination during surgeries.

Contribute to achieving team targets and goals within the surgical department.

Collaborate with surgical team to ensure patient safety and procedure efficiency.

Ensure compliance with hospital policies and safety regulations.

Utilize pipelines to assess potential success in surgical procedures.

Participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities.

Evaluate and improve personal performance based on feedback and results.

Document surgical procedures and equipment usage accurately.

Maintain high visibility of work activity and results within the team.

Assist in the preparation and transportation of patients to and from surgery.

Experience/Qualifications Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification required.

Minimum of 2 years of experience as a surgical technologist.

Proficient in maintaining sterile fields and handling surgical instruments.

Strong understanding of surgical procedures and equipment usage.

Ability to collaborate effectively with surgical teams for patient safety.

Commitment to ongoing professional development and training.

Excellent documentation skills for surgical procedures and equipment usage.

Ability to assess and utilize pipelines for surgical procedure success.

Proven track record of achieving team targets and goals.

Flexibility to work on-site in Portland, Maine.
