Responsibilities Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and supplies.
Ensure all surgical equipment is sterilized and ready for use.
Maintain a sterile environment in the operating room at all times.
Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations in the operating room.
Monitor and track surgical inventory and supplies.
Collaborate with surgical team to ensure patient safety and care.
Prepare patients for surgery by cleaning and disinfecting incision sites.
Assist in the setup and breakdown of the operating room before and after procedures.
Document surgical procedures and patient information accurately.
Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding surgical procedures.
Evaluate and improve surgical processes for efficiency and effectiveness.
Experience/Qualifications Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification required for role.
Minimum of 2 years experience as a Surgical Technologist.
Proficient in sterilization techniques and maintaining sterile environments.
Strong understanding of surgical procedures and instruments.
Excellent communication skills for patient and family interactions.
Ability to work effectively in high-pressure, fast-paced environments.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate with surgical teams.
Keen attention to detail for accurate documentation.
Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning.
Willingness to participate in process improvement initiatives.
