Accounts Receivable Associate
We are seeking an Accounts Receivable Associate to join our dynamic finance team. This role offers an opportunity to engage with diverse partners and contribute to maintaining accurate financial records. You will work closely with sales representatives and customer support to ensure smooth operations and effective resolutions. Responsibilities: Manage inventory discrepancies such as shortages and overages, reviewing invoices, generating reports, and handling carrier-related information across multiple portals. Monitor and respond to customer emails and manage shared inboxes, often collaborating directly with sales representatives and customer support through designated portals. Process journal entries to reconcile invoices with corresponding credits or debits, ensuring accurate financial records. Review pricing claims and identify any missing promotional discounts. Investigate and resolve freight claims that were not initially submitted or processed. Essential Skills: Strong knowledge of finance and credit concepts, including a basic understanding of commercial/consumer law. Ability to professionally consult with internal and external customers to resolve complaints. Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve complex problems. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with diverse partners both internally and externally. Well-organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and demonstrates effective time management skills with the ability to prioritize. Fluent in English and the primary language used in the area of responsibility and/or location. Additional Skills & Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Finance. Proficiency in Excel, including VLOOKUP's and pivot tables. Work Environment: The role offers work-from-home flexibility after training. Initially, candidates will be fully onsite during the training period, typically lasting the first two weeks. After training, you will work from home four days a week, with one onsite day. Dates for onsite work will be determined based on training progress. This position provides a pathway to advance within the accounting and finance department, offering a chance to join a reputable and growing business in the greater Milwaukee market.
