Responsibilities
- Deliver product by car to customers and to their doors.
- Deliver flyers and door hangers as required.
- Operate all store equipment and prepare products as part of daily tasks.
- Receive and process telephone orders and take inventory; complete associated paperwork.
- Maintain cleanliness of equipment and facilities; stock ingredients from delivery area to storage and work areas.
- On-the-job training is provided.
Qualifications
- General job duties for all store team members: operate equipment, stock ingredients, prepare product, process orders, take inventory, and perform daily cleaning tasks.
- Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record meeting company standards and access to an insured vehicle for delivery.
- Navigational skills to read maps and locate addresses within the designated delivery area; ability to navigate adverse terrain including multi-story buildings.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) to interact with customers and co-workers; ability to understand and convey instructions.
- Essential functions/skills: basic arithmetic, making correct monetary change, order entry via computer, and strong eye-hand coordination.
- Physical demands include carrying, lifting, pushing, and standing; ability to climb stairs occasionally; ability to work in varying temperatures.
Work Conditions & Physical Demands
- Exposure to varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions during deliveries and in-store tasks.
- Temperatures range from coolers at 36°F to hot areas at 90°F or higher.
- Exposure to food odors and cornmeal dust; occasional cramped spaces and hot surfaces up to 500°F.
- Stairs or ladders may be used to change prices or perform maintenance; occasional bending, reaching, and lifting of up to 50 pounds; ability to push/pull dollies and move trays.
- Delivery-related duties require far and night vision; driving and navigation in various conditions.
