Overview

We are seeking a sharp, motivated Electrician (who loves the outdoors) to join a large educational and research institution supporting their observatory campus in Amado, AZ (south of Tucson). In this role, the Electrician will oversee general electrical maintenance for the observatory campus spanning 16 buildings across 20km. On a day-to-day basis, the Electrician will be provided a company vehicle to navigate the remote campus, so candidates are required to have a valid driver’s license with clean driving record. Because this role is in a remote location south of Tucson, the right candidate will be comfortable and excited about working in the outdoors, driving across locations, and driving unpaved access roads.

Base pay range

$33.20/hr - $38.84/hr

Responsibilities

• Cleaning and inspecting electrical panels
• Installing new lightning fixtures
• Reviewing building service lists to provide general maintenance based on submitted requests
• Basic electrical maintenance
• Oversee general electrical maintenance for the remote campus in Amado, comprised of 16 buildings across 20km

Required skills and experience

• 2+ years of electrician experience in a commercial, hospital, or education environment
• Experience working under little supervision and able to complete work autonomously
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Comfortable driving in remote locations with unpaved access roads
