Qualifications:

• Willingness to work & learn all disciplines. This is a facilities building maintenance role you will be required to perform other duties.
• Self-starter, prioritize work orders based on deadlines and equipment issues.
• Strong Electrical Power Distribution Knowledge and experience
• i. 24V, 120V, 480V, 4160V, 12470V
• Both single phase and three phase experience
• Ability to read and interpret electrical one-lines
• Experience with the following gear:
  • High Voltage Switches
  • Substations
  • Busway & Bus Plugs
  • MCC
  • Transformers
  • Breakers
  • Panels
  • Disconnects
• Experience with the following tools & PPE:
  • 40 Cal Arc Flash Suit & Electrical Gloves
  • Hot Stick, Shotgun, Electrical Blanket
  • Ground straps, grounding high voltage
• Successfully completed Electrical Apprenticeship Program or graduated a certified technical school and achieved Journeyman status.
• 5 years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5 to 7 years’ related experience in a manufacturing facility.
• Trained on NFPA 70E, Aerial Lift / Boom lift Certified.
• Training in motor and motor controls, variable frequency drives, and PLC / BMS controls. Ability to read complex wiring diagrams, identify electrical components, and extensive knowledge in troubleshooting control circuits. Must be well versed in the use of voltmeters, amp meters, ohm meters, meggers and amp-probes.
• Use guidelines from the National Electrical Code, local codes, safety regulations and Jacobs standard practices. Wears PPE and ARC Flash equipment while performing live troubleshooting evolutions.

• Essential duties and responsibilities:
• An ability to read and understand system blueprints, specifications, and performance data to determine configuration and purpose of system components such as compressors, motors, pumps, fans, switches, controls, ducts, or pipes.
• Installs power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and building equipment. Connects power supply wires to machines and building equipment, connects cables and wires between machines and equipment.
• Diagnoses malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors, motor starters, MCC panels, MCC circuits, variable frequency drives and lighting fixtures and replaces damaged or broken wires, cables, and fuses.
• Dismantles malfunctioning systems and tests components.
• Replaces faulty electrical components of machine such as relays, switches, sensors, motors, and positions sensing devices.
• Plans layout of wiring and installs wiring, conduit, and electrical apparatus in buildings.
• Responsible for accurate and timely paperwork related to essential duties and responsibilities.
• Performs preventative maintenance tasking on electrical and mechanical equipment.

As the Electrician, you’ll join a collaborative team ensuring that our clients can deliver their services – uninterrupted. Based in Greensburg, IN, you’ll support the Facility Maintenance Team in the preventative, corrective, and general maintenance of plant systems for the client. Other duties include, but not limited to, daily assessments of systems, assisting other trades in performing general equipment maintenance and repair, maintaining a clean working environment, and other various duties as assigned by the Facility Maintenance Manager, while adhering to all safety and health standards. In this role, you will the install, trouble shoot, and repair facility electrical distribution systems, lighting systems, apparatus and devices. To be successful in this role, the idea candidate will have knowledge of motor and motor controls, variable frequency drives, plc controllers, and power distribution systems and be familiar with low voltage and fire alarm systems.
