Job Title: HR Generalist
Location (city, state): New York, NY (Onsite, 5 days/week)
Pay: $70,000 – $90,000 annually (DOE)
Base pay range: $75,000.00/yr - $90,000.00/yr

Job Description
Our client is seeking an experienced HR Generalist to provide support across recruitment, employee relations, compliance, onboarding, and HR operations. This is a hands-on, highly visible role working closely with leadership to drive HR initiatives, ensure compliance, and foster employee engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead full-cycle recruitment for corporate and broadcast roles, including sourcing, screening, and interviewing candidates.
- Build and maintain talent pipelines for hard-to-fill positions.
- Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and implement recruitment plans.
- Maintain and update recruitment site pages (LinkedIn, Glassdoor, etc.).
- Manage new hire onboarding and orientation, ensuring employees have the resources to succeed.
- Conduct exit interviews and recommend strategies to improve retention.
- Advise managers and employees on HR policies, payroll, benefits, training, and employee relations.
- Administer benefits enrollment and coordinate with vendors.
- Maintain accurate HR records and support compliance efforts.
- Stay current on federal, state, and local employment regulations.
- Assist in developing and implementing HR policies and procedures.
- Support compliance initiatives, including SOX-related processes.
- Maintain accurate HR data using HRIS systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field (preferred)
- 3+ years of progressive HR experience with strong recruitment expertise
- Knowledge of employment laws, compliance, and HR best practices
- Experience with HRIS systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook
- Strong organizational, communication, and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work onsite 5 days per week
- Positive, solution-oriented attitude with integrity and confidentiality
- Media or broadcasting experience is a plus
