Qualifications

  • Aspen IP21 experience
  • RS Linx experience (definitely not required but would come in handy)
  • Experience setting up servers
  • SQL DB experience
  • Firewall experience (to the extent of knowing what to put in a ticket; not a security expert)
  • ITIL license
  • Cisco networking experience
  • Security+, Network+, CSA, etc. — any relevant certifications

Responsibilities

  • Desktop/Laptop Support
  • App installation
  • OS installation / imaging
  • Basic network troubleshooting
  • Strong understanding of TCP/IPv4 network protocols
  • Microsoft/Windows experience
  • Ability to lift and move up to 40 lbs (physically able to rack and stack servers and network gear)
  • Help desk or experience using a ticketing system like Service Now
  • Customer service experience (even working in retail or service industry shows they know how to treat customers/users)
  • Basic printer experience insofar as configuring the IP address and installing the device on PCs
  • Strong communication skills with email, Teams, etc.
  • Organization and documentation
