We are seeking a compassionate and experienced
School Social Worker
to join our team for the 2025-2026 school year. The School Social Worker will provide vital support to students and families, addressing social, emotional, and behavioral challenges to help students thrive academically and personally. This position involves collaboration with school staff, families, and community resources to promote student well-being and equitable access to education. Key Responsibilities
Conduct social-emotional assessments to identify student needs.
Develop and implement individualized support plans in collaboration with educators and families.
Provide individual and group counseling to students.
Facilitate crisis intervention and assist with conflict resolution.
Advocate for students by connecting families with community and social services.
Participate in multi-disciplinary teams to support student success.
Work proactively to remove barriers to learning and improve attendance and engagement.
Maintain confidentiality and accurate records consistent with district policies.
Qualifications
Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution.
Current Illinois licensure or eligibility for licensure as a School Social Worker.
Experience working with children and adolescents in educational or mental health settings preferred.
Strong knowledge of child development, family systems, and relevant mental health issues.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
Culturally responsive with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
Skilled in crisis intervention and conflict resolution techniques.
Compensation & Benefits
Competitive weekly pay ranging from
$40 - $52 per hour .
