Part-Time Physical Therapist (PT)
to join our team for a
short-term maternity leave coverage assignment . This role is ideal for a licensed PT looking to make a meaningful impact in a school-based setting while working with a small, manageable caseload. You will provide direct services to students with moderate disabilities at
Elm School , the districts elementary site. The current contracted PT is preparing to go on maternity leave and is working to complete compensatory service minutes (900 total). Your role will be to continue providing high-quality physical therapy support for the remainder of the leave period. Position Details: Type:
Part-Time (3 hours per week)
Location:
Onsite at Elm School in Byron, CA (single school site)
Schedule:
Approx. September 16 through the week after Thanksgiving (exact end date TBD)
Caseload:
3 students with moderate disabilities
Service Type:
Direct physical therapy services (no assessments required unless discussed)
Important Note:
This is an
onsite-only position
remote or virtual therapy providers (e.g., Voco) will not be considered.
Responsibilities: Deliver individualized physical therapy services to students with moderate disabilities
Collaborate with the IEP team to support student goals
Maintain detailed and accurate session notes and documentation
Communicate effectively with staff and families as needed
Support continuity of care during the primary therapists maternity leave
Qualifications: Valid California Physical Therapist License (Required)
Previous school-based experience preferred, but not required
Ability to work independently and manage a small caseload efficiently
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Must be reliable, punctual, and committed to student success
Must be able to commit to onsite presence (no teletherapy)
