At Copain, we bring together the comfort of a neighborhood café with the craft of a true boulangerie and brasserie, now expanding into full-service dining at our new Ballantyne location. Our dinner service is built on an ingredient-driven, seasonal approach where honest cooking takes the lead. The kitchen emphasizes simple and classic cooking techniques with precise execution, and respect for ingredients. Our focus is on producing simple yet refined menu items to allow the food to speak for itself. We are now hiring Line Chefs to join our opening dinner service team at Copain Ballantyne. In this role you will be part of building a high-performing kitchen focused on consistency, teamwork, and professional growth in a refined dining environment. You will learn and execute dishes with accuracy and attention to detail, maintain clean and organized stations while abiding by the state health and sanitation guidelines, and work closely with chefs and restaurant staff to establish and uphold the standards that reflect the quality and care of Noble Food & Pursuits. What We're Looking For: 3+ years of experience in a high-volume kitchen with a strong foundation in classic cooking methods, knife skills, sauce making, and plating. Pride in maintaining a clean, organized kitchen and managing food costs, inventory, and production in a timely manner. Confident, calm under pressure, and enjoy leading by example, helping to elevate the team’s performance. Team-oriented and enjoy working closely with others to solve challenges and achieve collective goals. Passionate about food and hospitality, eager to continue learning, growing, and making a positive impact on the team and guests. What You’ll Do: Assist with overseeing kitchen staff and ensuring smooth service operations during shifts. Support and mentor line cooks, ensuring consistency in food quality and presentation while continuing to elevate team skills. Manage prep work, assist with inventory control, place orders, and support the kitchen with production tasks. Work hand-in-hand with other Sous Chefs and the Executive Chef to meet daily production goals and uphold high standards.
