Copain is expanding! We’re opening a brand-new, full-service, “French Brasserie" concept in Ballantyne, and we are looking for an experienced Sous Chef to join our opening Back of House team. The right candidate is passionate about food, eager to learn, with an “On Fire” attitude that reflects the core values and culture of the restaurant and Noble Food & Pursuits. ***PLEASE NOTE ALL INTERVIEWS WILL BE CONDUCTED AT ROOSTERS UPTOWN FOR COPAIN, WE WILL REACH OUT TO COORDINATE IF SELECTED FOR FURTHER EVALUATION*** As part of Noble Food & Pursuits, we are dedicated to creating exceptional dining experiences while giving back to the communities that support us through local outreach and charitable efforts. What We're Looking For: 2+ years of experience in a high-volume kitchen with a strong foundation in classic cooking methods, knife skills, sauce making, and plating.
Pride in maintaining a clean, organized kitchen and managing food costs, inventory, and production in a timely manner.
Confident, calm under pressure, and enjoy leading by example, helping to elevate the team’s performance.
Team-oriented and enjoy working closely with others to solve challenges and achieve collective goals.
Passionate about food and hospitality with eagerness to continue learning, growing, and making a positive impact on the team and guests.
What You’ll Do:
Assist with overseeing kitchen staff and ensuring smooth service operations during shifts.
Support and mentor line cooks, ensuring consistency in food quality and presentation while continuing to elevate team skills.
Manage prep work, assist with inventory control, place orders, and support the kitchen with production tasks.
Work hand-in-hand with other Sous Chefs and Executive Chef to meet daily production goals and uphold high standards.
Promote the Noble Food & Pursuits mission, creating an environment where staff and guests feel valued.
