Rooster’s Wood-Fired Kitchen is looking for a skilled Sous Chef to join our Ballantyne team. We’re known for simple, ingredient-driven cooking with wood-fired meats, fresh seafood, and seasonal vegetables. Our kitchen blends the relaxed feel of upscale casual dining with the standards and attention to detail of fine dining. What We're Looking For: 3+ years of experience in a high-volume kitchen with a strong foundation in classic cooking methods, knife skills, sauce making, and plating. Pride in maintaining a clean, organized kitchen and managing food costs, inventory, and production in a timely manner. Confident, calm under pressure, and enjoy leading by example, helping to elevate the team’s performance. Team-oriented and enjoy working closely with others to solve challenges and achieve collective goals. Passionate about food and hospitality, eager to continue learning, growing, and making a positive impact on the team and guests. What You’ll Do: Assist with overseeing kitchen staff and ensuring smooth service operations during shifts. Support and mentor line cooks, ensuring consistency in food quality and presentation while continuing to elevate team skills. Manage prep work, assist with inventory control, place orders, and support the kitchen with production tasks. Work hand-in-hand with other Sous Chefs and the Executive Chef to meet daily production goals and uphold high standards. Promote the Noble Food & Pursuits mission, creating an environment where both staff and guests feel valued. Why Work with Us: $50k–$60k per year, based on experience.
