Under the direction of the Director of Special Education (or designee), you will provide comprehensive OT services to students across all grade levels in Dixon Unified School District. Youll conduct assessments, develop intervention plans, participate in IEP meetings, and deliver both direct and consultative OT support. Key Responsibilities
Administer OT assessments to evaluate fine/gross motor skills, sensory-motor integration, self-care, and activities of daily living
Write evaluation reports, IEP goals/objectives, and progress documentation
Provide direct and group therapy sessions; supervise/support paraprofessionals or COTAs
Consult and collaborate with teachers, staff, families, and multidisciplinary teams to integrate OT strategies into classrooms and home routines
Attend IEP meetings and contribute specialized OT insight
Recommend and adapt assistive equipment or classroom modifications as needed
Maintain caseload records in compliance with student data privacy and educational regulations
Occasionally travel between school sites within the district
Qualifications
Masters or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
Active California OT license and NBCOT certification
Valid California drivers license required
Previous experience in a school-based setting preferred; pediatric/sensory-integration background a plus
Strong collaboration, communication, and organizational skills
