We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate
Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
for a
full-time, in-person position
at a school site in
Oakdale, California . The SLPA will support students with a range of speech and language needs under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP). Position Type:
Full-Time, In-Person
Schedule:
Monday Friday | 3037.5 hours/week (based on assignment)
Caseload:
Varies (school-aged students; caseload and age range will be assigned based on needs)
Start Date:
[Insert Start Date or "ASAP"]
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students as outlined in IEPs and under the supervision of a licensed SLP.
Assist in implementing therapy goals and intervention plans.
Collect data on student progress and report to the supervising SLP.
Prepare therapy materials and maintain student records.
Support generalization of communication skills across school settings.
Collaborate with teachers and staff to promote communication development.
Qualifications:
Required:
Valid
California SLPA license .
Associate's degree from an SLPA program or Bachelors degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders (with SLPA license).
Prior experience working with children or in school settings preferred.
Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently while taking direction from supervising SLP.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bilingual (Spanish-English) is a plus but not required.
Familiarity with IEP documentation and data collection procedures in a school setting.
