Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs in the Division of Student Affairs
Responsibilities
This position serves as the principal assistant to the Vice President for Student Affairs (VPSA) and provides administrative and executive support to the Vice President for Student Affairs.
Provides administrative and executive support for the Vice-President, Associate Vice-Presidents, and Assistant Vice-Presidents for the Division of Student Affairs. Manages the calendars and schedules of OVPSA suite executives. Interacts with both internal and external FSU constituents, and consults to coordinate a variety of complex Division of Student Affairs (DSA) meetings ensuring confidentiality. Functions as the principal assistant to the Vice President Student Affair. Prepares the Vice-President's agendas and organizes materials for meetings. Organizes and compiles reports and documents for easy reference and retrieval by the VPSA. Supervises administrative staff that aid in executive calendar management, financial, and administrative activities in the office. Recommends and assists in the development of communications from the Vice President. Prepares and reviews for accuracy, sensitivity, and consistency with administrative policy. This includes communication with staff, faculty, senior administrators, board members, parents, students, and community members. Serves as "troubleshooter" and liaison for the VPSA. Responsible for managing the VPs complex travel arrangements, associated documentation, and expense reports. Travel includes professional development speaking engagement, board-required travel, and fundraising.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and four years experience or combination of post high school education and experience equal to eight years.
