Responsibilities

Use the Facilities Department Work Order Management System and ensure asset information is accurate and current at all times. This involves the collection, creation and management for all assets that are owned by Florida State University and ensuring assets are properly named, grouped, and identified in AIM. Maintains oversight of related activities and collaborates with various members of departments by coordinating activities. Has a basic ability to learn and interpret and analyze building systems technical drawings/specifications. Ability to collaborate with various teams across the campus community to ensure asset data accuracy. This includes working at properties in various states of a property life cycle. Including by not limited to during new construction, during renovations, owner occupied, during demolition. Field asset collection/accuracy verification can be conducted with but not limited to the usage of ladders, aerial platform lifts, PPE, and other various hand tools. Field collection/accuracy verification at times can be conducted in spaces that are confined, elevated, not under temperature control, and or exposed to exterior elements. Ability to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas of improvement. Generate reports on asset performance, utilization, life cycle expectancy, and lifecycle cost. Utilization of Building Automation Systems (BAS) in conjunction of the asset management system to provide a more streamlined, efficient, and proactive environment for Florida State University Facilities. Completes required safety training and complies with all safety standards including, but not limited to lock out-tag out, ladders, aerial lifts, confined space safety, safe handling of hazardous chemicals, participation in campus safety teams, and wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE). Reports complex and/or unusual problems to the supervisor and coordinates with other Maintenance staff as required to complete complex tasks. Performs other duties as assigned in support of Facilities Maintenance Planning Unit Department. Operates University vehicles, as necessary. Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent and four years experience or a combination of post high school education and experience equal to four years. A valid State of Florida or Georgia Driver's License or ability to obtain upon hire.

Anticipated Salary Range

The anticipated starting salary is $36,250, commensurate with experience.

Considerations

This is an USPS (University Support Personnel System) position.

This position requires successful completion of a criminal history background check .

The work schedule for this position is 8am - 4:30pm with a 30-minute break for lunch.
