Cost Accountant
LHH Recruitment Solutions is currently looking for a candidate to fill a full-time Cost Accountant job located in the Houston TX area. Houston-based job is the largest manufacturing company in its field and is looking for a candidate with 2-plus years of standard cost accounting experience and/or manufacturing experience.
Responsibilities
- Month-end close procedures.
- Ensure standard costing is recorded accurately.
- Prepare monthly accruals and target costing projects.
- Perform monthly variance analysis.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations of inventory accounts.
- Calculation and maintenance of inventory reserves
- Preparation and posting of journal entries.
- Assist in reporting and execution of branches cycle count / physical inventory.
Qualifications
- 2 plus years of cost accounting experience
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
