This IT Support Specialist is the first line of defense for day-to-day technology issues across our hybrid environment. You will resolve user requests via Ninja RMM and other toolsets, manage onboarding/off-boarding in Active Directory and Entra ID, and help monitor security alerts—while being mentored toward full System Administrator responsibilities. When production deadlines loom, you’ll step in to assist the senior team with backups, firewall checks, or conference-room tech—whatever keeps the organization running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide responsive assistance to onsite and remote associates using Ninja RMM, Zendesk/ConnectWise, or similar tools.
- Document root cause and preventive steps for recurring issues.
- Create, modify, and disable accounts in AD/Entra ID; manage group policy memberships, MFA settings, and licensing.
- Coordinate hardware/software provisioning and returns with our MSP.
- Threat Detection & Endpoint Hygiene
- Triage EDR, Vulscan, or ND Pro alerts; escalate verified incidents to the Senior System Administrator.
- Assist in monthly patch cycles and vulnerability sweeps.
- Configure Zoom Phone extensions, call flows, and voicemail; maintain Neat Bar Pro conference-room systems.
- Infrastructure Shadowing
- Shadow senior staff on Unitrends backup checks, SonicWall rule reviews, and Cisco Meraki switch maintenance; take ownership of routine tasks as skills grow.
- Write basic PowerShell or Bash scripts to automate repetitive help-desk actions.
- Contribute to Confluence knowledge-base articles and “how-to” videos.
- Occasional On-Call / Weekend Work
- Participate in a rotating after-hours schedule to ensure 24 × 7 uptime for production systems.

Qualifications
- 2-4 years in an IT helpdesk or desktop support role in a Windows-centric environment.
- Associates degree in IT or equivalent hands-on experience.
- Exposure to managed-service environments and RMM tools (Ninja preferred).
- Solid grasp of Windows 11, Office 365, and basic networking (DNS, DHCP, VLANs).
- Working knowledge of Active Directory, Entra ID/Azure AD, and Group Policy.
- Basic awareness of security principles (MFA, least privilege, phishing mitigation).
- Demonstrated curiosity—lab work, home projects, or certifications in progress (CompTIA A+/Net+/Security+ or Microsoft/Google equivalents).
- Eagerness to shadow senior engineers on Kaseya Suite, Unitrends, SonicWall, Cisco Meraki, and HITRUST/SOC 2 evidence gathering.
