Overview
The Sanitation Lead provides oversight of the sanitation team for their shift, ensuring cleaning and sanitizing of food assembly and storage areas and non-food handling areas (e.g., break rooms, locker rooms). Location: Atlanta, GA. Responsibilities
Execute the Sanitation Plan for the shift and assign tasks to the Sanitation & Janitorial team. Verify equipment and chemical usage and monitor PPE compliance. Observe for unsanitary practices and escalate issues to supervisors as needed. Support core sanitation activities, document sanitation activity completion, and train/coaching associates. Maintain chemical inventory knowledge and adhere to safe chemical handling and lock out/tag out procedures. Follow facility GMPs and support food safety and quality programs. Demonstrate punctuality, professional communication, respect among coworkers, and appropriate escalation of attitude issues. 0% travel required. Qualifications
High school degree or equivalent. Fluency in English (Spanish preferred). 2+ years in food, safety or sanitation industry. Informal leadership experience. Ability to read Safety Data Sheets (preferred). Experience with automated equipment sanitation (preferred). Experience with GFSI, SQF, FDA, and USDA audits (preferred). Benefits
